Dear Senators Markey and Warren,
I am a mother, an active and involved voter and a proud hard-working American. I don’t have any special position of power, or fame status. I am not affiliated with any political party but I have voted for both Republican and Democratic candidates in the past because I don’t vote by party, I vote based on the person, the skills, the ability to do their job.
I have observed in shock and disappointment some of the things that have been going on in this country in recent years. The unrelenting bipartisanship that has taken over this great nation is disheartening. I have been following the actions of our President and have watched the impeachment hearings as they have been occurring.
As a citizen of this great nation I hope and expect that even our President is held accountable for his actions, good or bad. With that said, once presented to the Senate, the articles of impeachment deserve a full and fair trial with impartial jurors, conducted as required by the Constitution. I ask that you please reach across party lines to incentivize appropriate actions be taken by your colleagues and ensure impartiality to the best of your ability.
