Dear Senators Lee and Romney,

I am a grandma who lives in West Jordan, Utah. I was in the USO during the Vietnam War and my husband was in the Navy. 

I remember watching the Nixon and the Clinton impeachment trials. This one strikes me as more like Nixon’s trial but the issues are even bigger. As much as I disliked the Watergate break-in, I never feared that Nixon was not a patriotic American. I didn’t fear that he was influenced by the Russians who were our enemy then and now.

I want an impeachment trial that is as full and fair as the Nixon trial. I want to see witnesses and relevant documents because it won’t be a trial without them. I hope you will ask for such a trial.
