Dear Senators Gardner, Bennet, and McConnell,

I am a patriotic American Citizen.

I have been following the news of the impeachment proceedings by listening to the hearings, reading a wide variety of news sources both conservative and liberal, as well as reading the public documents.

I care about the impeachment proceedings because I believe that the charges of ignoring the will of Congress and the American people as well as using taxpayer money to influence an election are grave threats to our democracy.

I want to see a full and fair trial in the Senate because no one should be above the law, especially the president.

I believe that the best way forward is to call for witnesses from the White House and listen impartially to their testimony. Please encourage your fellow senators to live up to their oath as impartial jurors. To attempt a cover up by quickly acquitting the president without witnesses and attempts to delegitimize the process may serve their interests in the short run, but will not serve the American people or their legacy in the long run.

I agree completely with the enclosed statement on impeachment by Mormon Women for Ethical Government.

Sincerely,

Janine, CO
