Dear Senator Baldwin,

I am new to civic involvement, but I have been following the impeachment proceedings closely. I’ve also been following you since I voted for you and have been very impressed with your platform, your belief systems, and your advocacy for minority groups. I am a white, middle-class moderate, but I believe that every person in this country deserves equal rights and to be treated with respect.

I am aware of the upcoming vote on the impeachment trial and wanted to offer my support and my voice as a constituent. I care about this vote because I do believe that the things that Donald Trump has done (not even just what is being voted on), warrant removal from office. During the vote, I invite you to reach across party lines and act impartially. This should not be a Democrat versus Republican war, but a time for members of government to work together for the good of our nation.

Attached you will see a statement from Mormon Women for Ethical Government, which I am a part of. I agree with the statement and hope you will appreciate the spirit in which it is intended.

Thank you so much for your government service. I do not envy your position, but I am so grateful to you and those of your associates who are working so hard to maintain fairness and equality in our Federal Government.

Sincerely,
Amberly (Wisconsin)
