Dear Senators McSally and Sinema,
Right now, you have the opportunity to make a decision that has the potential to change our country for better or for worse for generations to come. The decision you have to make is much bigger than deciding the guilt or innocence of President Trump, it will outlast your political career, and will set a precedent for all future impeachment proceedings.
I urge you to allow the Senate to hold a full and fair impeachment trial, call sworn witnesses, and proceed without prejudice as the Constitution requires. Partisan politics cannot have a role in this important event. The balance of powers and the role of the Senate must not be sacrificed to protect the president of the United States. Let the facts speak for themselves and let justice weigh the evidence. It is your responsibility to the American people to do no less.
